Home

At Shannagh Bay, we do our utmost to ensure that our residents experience a quality of life that is as close as possible to the secure and homely environment that they are accustomed to in their own homes and those of their families.

We strive to maintain the highest standards of nursing care and develop individualised care plans tailored to meet each resident's physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs which is delivered with compassion, courtesy and understanding, whilst maintaining independence, privacy and dignity. The bright four-storey facade of Shannagh Bay Nursing Home stands like a hotel on Bray's beautiful piece of coastline.

A refurbished Georgian period building, it's splendour is as evident from within as without. Accommodates up to forty three residents, with each of the floors acting independently, complete with complimentary facilities that are equally accessible to all. Twelve of the rooms are twinbedded, one room is a threebedded and fourteen are single. All bedrooms are ensuite. On each floor there are assisted shower rooms separate to the ensuites.

All rooms are also fitted with nurse call facilities and T.V. points. There are two lounges in the building and a large conservatory offering full scenic views. Shannagh Bay offers top quality care and attention to its clientele. We are fully registered with Health Information and Quality Authoritiy (HIQA). At Shannagh Bay we promote an open visiting policy which helps facilitate family and friends to visit their loved ones around their family lives and work commitments.

Here in Shannagh Bay we endeavour to give our resident as much choice as is reasonable possible. This includes what they wish to eat during meal times to the time they wish to eat at. In conjunction with this referrals are made to our dietician to ensure more vulnerable residents receive adequate nutritional requirements. Our emphasis is on fresh, home cooked food, thus ensuring nutritional and appetizing meals for all our residents.
